How long will it take to charge my car?

Accepted Answer

Battery size, existing level of charge and chargepoint speed will all impact the time. With a 7kW chargepoint you will get 20-40 miles for every hour the car is on charge. To charge from 20%-80% could take between 8 and 12 hours, perfect for a typical overnight charging session.

I made a suggestion for my street to get a chargepoint. Why haven’t you installed one?

Accepted Answer

Not every street that is suggested will be suitable to receive a chargepoint. This could be for various reasons, including:

availability of a suitable power supply
highway constraints
insufficient physical space e.g. pavement width
planning constraints

We will investigate every suggestion made, but we can't promise that every site suggested will receive a chargepoint.

Who will be responsible for the chargepoints?

Accepted Answer

Urban Fox will be responsible for the installation, ownership, operation and maintenance of the chargepoints.

How accessible will the chargepoints be?

Accepted Answer

We are working with Motability and the Energy Saving Trust to ensure that wherever possible, the chargepoints meet accessibility standards for all drivers.
